What are the mechanisms used to create images of Russia? Roles of the press, TV, radio and Internet in creating it. Types of mass media (alternative information channels and spaces). Is journalist the «author» in the process of building a country's image or a professional hired by a third party? How does a country's image depend on the one existing inside a professional journalist community?
Section 4. Russia's image in the world (international section).
How adequate and objective is the image of Russia in foreign media? Are there any purposeful goal-oriented strategies aimed at creating certain images of Russia?
